On March 9, 2008, Choreographer David Dawson premiered his first full length creation, "Giselle".
Yumiko not only performed the role of Giselle, but also designed the costumes for the entire production, a first for any dancer or designer!

On November 19, Yumiko Takeshima opened her first YUMIKO Dance & Fitness Wear STORE in NEW YORK CITY.
The store concept offers a clean, well-lit, minimalist, and modern space for you to clearly view YUMIKO products and to inspire creativity when customizing your own special pieces.

As fate would have it, the perfect location has presented itself and even though it's such a huge undertaking, we're going for it.
This fall NYC will have a YUMIKO store!!
