YUMIKO RE-DESIGNS COSTUMES FOR FORSYTHE'S "THE SECOND DETAIL".
NOVEMBER, 2007 On November 11, the Dresden SemperOper premiered two very significant works to Yumiko. Opening with Forsythe's famous and widely acclaimed "The Second Detail" Yumiko not only performed in the piece herself, but was also asked by Forsythe to YUMI-FY the costumes for the piece and with great honor Yumiko came up with this new design for the main body of the costumes, leaving the incredible solo costume by Issey Miyake untouched, that to Yumiko is like sacred ground.

The Grey Area
The following work, "THE GREY AREA" by David Dawson, carries a lot of personal meaning to Yumiko, having worked so close with Dawson from it's conception, as costume designer and dancer. "THE GREY AREA" has since been performed throughout the world and continues to be one of Dawson's most inspiring works.
